     If you need a spot to stay Americas Best Value Inn is a pleasant choice, and why not camp at Big Lake Campground if you're here at Deadmans Lake. High temperatures at Deadmans Lake throughout the summer are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Deadmans Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Young Lake is right next door to Deadmans Lake, and  
   Newberry Koa Kampground is a good local campground. Deadmans Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Goose Lake if you're here at Deadmans Lake; it's nearby; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Newberry is a good site to spend a night or two.

Most sites are grassy and have a mix of sun and shade and are mostly level with some having pads for the large RV's; there are pull throughs too.  We welcome big rigs, tents and anything inbetween!  We have some excellent spots to situate a group camping atmosphere or family reunion.  If you are a bird watcher, we are 3 miles south of Seney National Wildlife Refuge and offer canoe/kayak rentals through the refuge. Pets are welcomed with courtesy rules enforced.  Reservations are welcomed...
