After a long day outdoors Wild Eagle Lodge is a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and close by you come across the North Country National Scenic Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Ontonagon River - Middle Branch, and Deadman Lake is nice       enough to spend more than a day at, Paulging Pond Campground and Picnic Area is a nice local campground. A normal amount of rain falls here at Deadman Lake; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Deadman Lake. A picturesque lake like Buck Lake near Deadman Lake is a tremendous location to pop by, and playing golf is lots of fun at Lac                  Vieux Desert Golf Course. Dry warm beds await you at Settle Inn & Stes Eagle River; going for a hike on the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail is always a perfect adventure. Summertime highs at Deadman Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's.
