This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Damon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Maple Campground is a fine place for that, and if you've had enough of Damon Lake, Maud Lake is close by. From a rainfall point of view Damon Lake is a rather typical       place; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Porcupine Mountain, and there's whitewater on Ontonagon River - South Branch for all you adrenaline kick people. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Damon Lake. A great close by hotel is Settle Inn & Stes Eagle River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Derby Inn is a fine site to spend                  a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Damon Lake; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Damon Lake descend into the-10's.
