There is a fine hiking trail in close proximity to Cucumber Lake called the Haywire Grade ORV Trail, and AmericInn Munising is a brilliant location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Big Island Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Cucumber Lake, and you can stay the night at Wide       Water Campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Townline Lake, and the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail is a great hiking trail close by. During the days of summer at Cucumber Lake highs are typically in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Cucumber Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.                  From a precipitation point of view Cucumber Lake is a reasonably typical place; through the month of September you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
