For the period of the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 70's at Crane Lake; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Crane Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry       warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express MANISTIQUE; it's a brilliant idea to stop by Grindstone Creek. Nearby lakes? Sure, Dodge Lake is next to Crane Lake; close by you discover the Haywire Grade ORV Trail which is a good hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Crane Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Merwin Creek Campground is a good place for that, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the High Rollways Truck Trail. If only                  every spot had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great world it would be. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Jack Lake is one of those nearby, and going for a hike on the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
