There are other places here than Crane Lake, for example Coyote Lake; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the North Country National Scenic Trail. There's whitewater on Ontonagon River for all you adrenaline junkies; why not stop at close by Cowslip Creek       since you're here at Crane Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Settle Inn & Stes Eagle River. An average amount of rainfall falls at Crane Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Crane Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's while                  the cold winter nights at Crane Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. The Alligator Eye Trail is a great hiking trail right next door to Crane Lake, and you can stay the night at Porcupine Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place.
