AmericInn Munising is a pleasant place to get some rest, and not far from Cox Pond you'll come across Swede Lake which is a wonderful lake. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Munising is a good site to spend a night or two, and there are other spots here than Cox Pond, for example Wetmore Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail is brilliant fun; camping at       Hiawatha Resort and Campground is always a magnificent experience. There's whitewater on Au Train River for all you adrenaline people, and while you're here you can play some golf at Pictured Rocks Golf & Country Club. Why not take a look at close by Anna River while you're here at Cox Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Valley Spur Ski Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Cox Pond is right by the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail; if                  you have time, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a national park worth stopping at. So much cool stuff in the vicinity of Cox Pond, truly extraordinary. Put some time aside to spend at Alger Falls if you're here at Cox Pond; if you came to camp Buckhorn Otter Lake Campground is a splendid place to do that. All through the summertime months highs here at Cox Pond reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Cox Pond sink into the 0's.
