Near Cox Lake you stumble on a golf course called Gateway Golf Club. There's so much to do here at Cox Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Langford Lake Campground and Picnic Area is a wonderful location for that. At Cox Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's; through       summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's; night lows at Cox Lake through the winter mostly plunge into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Black Bear Lodge, and Ontonagon River is a great whitewater spot close by. Cox Lake is not the only place close by, Midget Lake is a close by lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Alligator Eye Trail. The yearly precipitation here at Cox                  Lake is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Cox Lake.
