Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Eagle Mountain Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Cowboy Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Iron Mountain Campgrounds is a splendid spot for that, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites IRON MOUNTAIN is a glorious place to get some rest. If you're going to Cowboy       Lake from Iron Mountain, you won't be the only one; Henry Ford Dam has fine water scenery. The amount of precipitation that falls at Cowboy Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Norway Mountain if you're here, and some close by water includes Little Popple River. For the period of                  the warm days of summer at Cowboy Lake highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Cowboy Lake. Stay the night at Rivers Bend Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Inn Iron Mountain. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Cowboy Lake. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Pine River. Lakes are fine; Bass Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Cowboy Lake.
