A common amount of precipitation falls here at Courtney Lake; September is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Sturgeon River - West Branch, and Courtney Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Twin Lakes State Park is a great       local campground. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Courtney Lake. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 10's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Courtney Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. While you're here at Courtney Lake, you could also go to stunning Butterfield Lake, and what would winter be without some skiing at Porcupine Mountain.
