If you are traveling by, why not stop by Coots Pond. Northwoods Retreat is a good site to get some rest, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Chatham Ski Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Coots Pond while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Going for a hike along the Addis Lakes Ski Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and do schedule some time to have a look at Au Train Bay if you have a chance. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Au Train Lake Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Bay House.

luck; Gladstone Ski Park is close to Coots Pond; you can run the rapids of Au Train River. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t been to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, you have to schedule some time for it since you're here,
and why not camp at Laughing Whitefish Campground while you're here at Coots Pond. That right there is heaps already, but it goes on; Coots Pond has it all. If the weather is fine here at Coots Pond, you can go for a hike along the Valley Spur Ski Trail, and Coots Pond is not the only place nearby, Paulson Lake is a nearby lake.
