After a long day outdoors Munising - Days Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and Coots Pond is a brilliant location to visit for more than one day, Laughing Whitefish Campground is a brilliant location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Spider                  Ponds, and you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Gladstone Ski Park. Looking for a tremendous spree? Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is relatively near Coots Pond, and Super 8 Motel - Munising/Wetmore Area is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Au Train River. Don't leave Coots Pond without first going for a hike along the Valley Spur Ski Trail, and Au Train Lake Campground is a fine local campground.
