Coontail Lake is a lake worth visiting. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Coontail Lake. Paddling on Sturgeon River is so much fun, and Sauna Creek is next to Coontail Lake and is always a diversion to stop at. A typical amount of rain falls here at Coontail Lake; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Coontail Lake called the Pelkie

Mi is a magnificent place to get some rest, and if you've had enough of Coontail Lake, Pequet Lake is close by. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Perch River; what would winter be without some skiing at Ski Brule. During the long
summer days at Coontail Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Coontail Lake tend to be in the 0's.
