Coon Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. If you need a spot to stay Kensington Inn is a magnificent choice, needless to say you could also take a look at Cranberry Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Coon Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Chemung Outdoor Resort is a great local campground, and Marion Oaks Golf Club is a magnificent golf course nearby. Coon Lake is a good

During the warm months at Coon Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and the night is a little colder of course, regularly in the 50's. right? Mount Brighton is a perfect location to do that. Be careful coming to Coon Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater
paddling on Huron River, and Coon Lake is a place with many visitors from Ann Arbor. A nice place to camp here at Coon Lake is Hell Creek Ranch, and Coon Lake is not the only place nearby, Gale Lake is a nearby lake.

Bruin Lake
 | 10 miles away First visit was a pleasant one. Boat launch is real shallow, I have a Glastron SX 175 v hull and had difficulty getting boat to clear trailer without backing tow vehicle farther into lake than usual. From there, things just got better. The water is pleasantly clean, but very shallow on the north side. However, the channels connecting Bruin to the other lakes are great. We spent all day on the water. Blind lake is a beautiful little lake with several sand bars, a swimming platform and a couple of rope swings for the kids to get out of the boat and play on. Overall, we were very pleased with the fact that we chose Bruin rather that our normal haunt Portage.... |
