After a long day outdoors Alpena-Days Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and lots of people from Alpena come here. During the months of summer highs here at Coombs Lake reach the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs       down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Coombs Lake. So much cool stuff to do at Coombs Lake, so little time. Lakes? Sure, Beaver Lake is close by, and of course Truax Creek flows through this neighborhood. There are other sites here than Coombs Lake, for example Fletcher Pond; hiking along the Norway Ridge Trail is nice fun.
