You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the area near Cool Lake has to offer. A lovely lake like Lower Pickerel Lake next to Cool Lake is a good place to go to; close to Cool Lake you stumble on a golf course called Fawn Crest Golf Course. Camping is available at Heart Of The Forest       Campground. At Cool Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. All through the winter highs are regularly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cool Lake. The amount of precipitation that falls at Cool Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls during September; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the North Country                  National Scenic Trail, and Littles Lake is a great lake nearby.
