What a site this is for outdoors folks. If you came to camp Mead Creek Campground is a delightful location to do that. Cookson Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month with most of the rain is September while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's so much to do here at Cookson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Merwin Creek Campground is a wonderful place for that, and a splendid nearby hotel is                  Holiday Inn Express MANISTIQUE.
