Cook Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Nazarene Campground is a fine local campground, and a perfect place to camp here at Cook Lake is Taylor's Beach Campground. High temperatures at Cook Lake through the days of summer are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows       in the 10's to Cook Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Red Cedar River is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Cook Lake, and during your tour here you'll meet some folks from Owosso for sure. A perfect nearby hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Howell, and you can hit the slopes at Mount Brighton in the vicinity. Cook Lake is a good spot of typical precipitation; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with                  the least moisture. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HOWELL is a good spot to get some rest, and enjoy a round of golf at DAMA Golf Club.
