A visit to Conway Lake is always a good idea. Why not check out Conway Bay also since you're here, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Yellow Dog River. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail next to Conway Lake called the Holyoke Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Jasper Ridge Inn Ishpeming. Take a side tour to River Styx, and camping is available at Michigamme Shores Campground.
