A good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn ALPENA, and of course, this is a fine neighborhood for people who like lakes, Elbow Lake is a lake around here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.       There's so much to do here at Conway Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ossineke Forest Campground is a nice spot for that; Norwegian Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. An average amount of rain falls at Conway Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. For the duration of the months of summer here at Conway Lake, high temperatures typically reach the                  80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Conway Lake plunge into the 0's.
