This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range. Hit the slopes at Indianhead around here; Cloud Peak is beautiful and can be seen from here. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake of the Clouds is close to the national average; June is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. You can run the rapids of Carp River near Lake of the Clouds; since you       might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Lily Pond. Having a wonderful time in the Gogebic Range is painless. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great area for people who like lakes. Mirror Lake is a lake nearby, and this neighborhood is dominated by the Porcupine Mountains. Throughout the summertime here at Lake of the Clouds, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter                  comes with highs in the 10's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Lake of the Clouds temperatures descend to the-10's. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be. There's some flowing water close by, Carp River Inlet is a stream you can have a look at while here, and Lake of the Clouds is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Preque Isle State Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Gogebic Range has to offer.
