What a nice lake Clear Lake is. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not take a look at Buell Lake in the neighborhood of Clear Lake. Clear Lake is a good spot of common rainfall; September is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Clear Lake get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 20's while Clear Lake night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. so inviting noone can resist. There's so much to do here at Clear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Kaskitowa is a wonderful place for that.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Clear Lake has to
offer, you can camp at American Campgrounds, and a beautiful lake like Hodge Lake is a splendid location to stop by. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Sunset Motel, and if you're a golfer then a good close by course is Shamrock Hills Golf Club.

Timber Ridge
 | It is not very big, but all of the employees are cool and you never have to wait in line to get on the lift. They sometimes seem to overestimate the amount of snow that they have also. I sometimes wonder if they actually measure the snowpiles that have been plowed in the parking lot instead of what is actually on the hill.... |
Bittersweet
| Bittersweet has enormous snow-making capacity and is consistently the first to open in SW Michigan. Their vertical is only 350 ft, but that's about 100 more than any other resort in SW Michigan. As noted, their lift system is impressive, particularly the high speed detachable quad, but lines can get a little long on late December weekends. Their terrain park has a good variety of boxes, jumps, etc. Very friendly people....Yea you guys rock i love the snow...Ahh yes, Bittersweet Ski Area... Michigan skiing at it's very best. The drops in these part of the country are not that impressive but I think Bittersweet makes the most of it. I do recommend this ski area.... |

Can the general public access the lake or is it private for Greenspire residents?...Hampton lake is a public lake in Portage south of Centre street, about a 1/3 of a mile east of US 131. It does not have a public access, I'm not even sure gas powered boats are allowed, but they're not needed because the lake is not very big. But it is spring fed and DNR stocked so it is very clean and very good fishing. I live in Greenspire Apartments which is partially on the lake and my roommate and I fish Hampton lake often. Swiss Valley is a great place to ski or snowboard, dedicated to keeping the terrain interesting and excellently groomed. Snowmaking and deicated staff also provide the best kept terrain parks in southwest Michigan. The facilities offer a full service restaurant with food, spirits and live enteratinment most weekends, a cafeteria, group gathering areas and a separate learning area.
Swiss Valley also has very affordable learn to ski and snowboard programs for the entire family....
