If you came for an overnight stay Sparrow Rapids Campground is a wonderful place to camp, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Clear Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Clear Lake       temperatures descend to the 0's. From a rain point of view Clear Lake is a reasonably typical place; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Houghton, MI; Wyandotte Hills Golf Club is a golf course nearby. A great location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Clear Lake is Otter River - West                  Branch, and if you get bored of Clear Lake you could also go to nearby Bob Hall Lake. You definitely have to go for Clear Lake.
