Clair Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; September is when you get the most rain here while February is frequently the driest month. Whitewater paddling is fine on Slate River, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Craig Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western       Baraga Lakeside Inn, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Peshekee River. For the period of the summer at Clair Lake highs are commonly in the 70's, and the overnight is quite cooler of course, commonly in the 50's.
