    A visit to Chub Lake is always a good idea. Chub Lake is a good site of typical rainfall; September is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. If you came for an overnight stay Sno-trac Camper Village is a glorious place to camp, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Shupac Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Treetops Sylvan is perfect, and AuSable Valley Hotel and Conference  
   Center is a splendid site to get some rest.
You simply should have a thing about Chub Lake. Lakes are good; Little Shupac Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Chub Lake; a day on the slopes of Skyline Ski Slide is just what you need. Throughout the days of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Chub Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert. Treetops also offers extreme (snow) tubing. The tubing ride is available by 1.5 hour sessions for up to 30 people at a time. Advance reservations can be made for this exhilarating experience. Tubing is separate from the ski area and is available for a ''ride on the wild side.''
