The Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail offers hiking at its best, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn - Wetmore is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. This       lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Chicago Lake without first going for a hike along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail, and camping at Hiawatha Resort and Campground is always a good experience. If time allows, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a national park worth taking a look at; Chicago Lake is not the only location close by, Vista Lake is a close by lake. The yearly rain here at Chicago Lake is about average; most of the rain falls through September,                  and February meanwhile is the driest month. All through the summertime months highs here at Chicago Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
