Charles Lake is a good place of normal rain; most of the rain falls through September, and the driest month of the year is February. Charles Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Michigamme Shores Campground is a great local campground. Lakes? Sure, Upper Baraga Lake is around here. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Charles Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's. During the moonlight       hours it's mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Charles Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Peshekee River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a delightful site to spend a night or two.
