| | here, and the top of Millie Hill is easily distinguished from Chapin Mine. A splendid location for whitewater paddling close to Chapin Mine is Brule River, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites IRON MOUNTAIN.

Mine temperatures are regularly in the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's; nighttime lows through the winter for Chapin Mine tend to be in the-10's.
This lake
is so wonderful. Camping at Iron Mountain Campgrounds is always a great experience; you'll locate a pretty lake called Crystal Lake. If you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Timberstone Golf Course; fine skiing awaits you at Norway Mountain.
