This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Black River; dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Ironwood, Mi. So many cool things in the Gogebic Range, just inspiring. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Ironwood is a great choice, and Presque Isle Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. At Chaney Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's       generally in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Chaney Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Chaney Lake; most of the rain falls through June while February is commonly the driest month. Henry Lake Campground is a good local campground, and while you're here, you could also have a look at pretty Joann Lake. Chaney Lake is one of the lakes here in the Gogebic Range. And that's                  not all you can do here in the Gogebic Range. What would winter be without some skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Planter Creek. Not far from Chaney Lake you obtain some tremendous water scenery at McFadyen Dam; hiking is a popular thing to do around Chaney Lake; Rainbow Falls Trail is a great local trail.
