Chain Lakes gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily September, that's the one that rains the most; February is the month with the least moisture. Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds is a fine campground nearby, and a beautiful lake like Boot Lake is a brilliant location to take       a look at. High temperatures at Chain Lakes through the months of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Chain Lakes during the winter mostly drop into the 0's. Stay the night at Country Village RV Park, and Cedar Motor Inn is a great place to get some rest. But wait, there's more to do near Chain Lakes. Near Chain Lakes you stumble                  on the Holyoke Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful.
