Oak Grove Campground is a fine local campground. Lakes? Sure, Stoddard Lake is around here. You completely should adore Cedar Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Pine River; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail. Cedar Lake gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; September is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you came

| | for an overnight stay Lake Billings Campgrounds is a good spot to camp, and not far from Cedar Lake you'll stumble on Meauwataka Lake which is a lovely lake. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn Cadillac is a great place to get some rest, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the McKenzie Ski Trail. Through the warm days of summer here at Cedar Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. | |

The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Cedar Lake are in the 10's. There's whitewater on Boardman River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and dry warm beds await you at Cadillac Sands Resort.
During your visit to Cedar Lake you'll meet some people from Cadillac for sure, and the slopes of Caberfae Peaks are so inviting noone can resist.

As it turned out it was by far the best camp site I had ever stayed in and had a great time. Our site happened to be next to the river with a great view, secluded and close to the river. I would highly recommend this campground for access to the pine river. Great canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc. swimming... |

 | 17 miles away Actually, the best paddling on the Pine River is below Lincoln, and especially in the section from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge (approximately 21 miles). there are numerous CI rapids from about 20 minutes US from Dobson to about 20 minutes US from Low Bridge. Unfortunately, due to livery traffic the river is kept cleared to excess. Most of the leaning trees and logjams that make padding interesting have been removed so the drunken rental boat paddlers don't get into trouble.... |
