When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Cedar Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. The yearly rain here at Cedar Lake is about average; during the month of September you get the most rain around here while February is ordinarily the driest month.       There's so much to do here at Cedar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lakeside Resort and Party Store is a great spot for that, and at Cedar Lake you always meet someone from Traverse City. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Boardman River, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Traverse City,Mi. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Homestead is a great local ski area. While you're here at Cedar                  Lake you can play some golf at Bay Meadows Golf Course; some close by water includes Cedar Creek.
