Do stop at Lyons Lake in the vicinity of Cedar Lake, it's a picturesque lake, and since you're here and you like golf, you can take a look at Interlochen Golf Club. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Boardman River, and what would winter       be without some skiing at Homestead. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect nearby hotel is Courtyard Traverse City, and Whelock Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a good national park, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Crystal Mountain while you're here. Cedar Lake is a good place of common rain; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months                  is February. Be careful coming to Cedar Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. There are plenty of people from Traverse City here at Cedar Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cedar Lake has to offer, you can camp at Leelanau Pines. This lake is so wonderful. All through the summer here at Cedar Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's.
