Bumphrey Lake is a great lake near Cedar Lake, and hiking along the McKenzie Ski Trail is tremendous fun. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Traverse City. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boardman River, and if you came for an overnight stay Traverse City Koa is a pleasant place to camp. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Cedar Lake. If you need a place to stay

| | Fairfield Inn & Suites Traverse City is a nice choice; do take a hike on the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail. Through the summer months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Cedar Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Cedar Lake are in the 10's.
