Whitewater paddling is nice on Eagle River, and Sunset Bay RV Resort is a great local campground. High temperatures at Calumet Lake all through the summertime are in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Calumet Lake. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Calumet Golf Course is a wonderful       golf course nearby, and you'll probably meet some people from Houghton here. This is a nice vicinity for people who like lakes. Torch Lake is a lake nearby; Calumet Lake is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Hancock Recreation Area is a splendid location to camp nearby. Gratiot River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by, and if you need a place to stay Americinn - Calumet, Mi is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful.                  Visiting Isle Royale National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; Budget Host Inn Houghton is a nice location to get some rest.
