A beautiful lake like Campbell Lake next to Butternut Lake is a good location to stop at, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Woods Trail. Camping is available at Pine Haven Camp Ground, and hiking along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail is magnificent fun. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Willow Creek Golf Course; do take a hike on the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail. Summer at Butternut Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the                  20's while the cold winter nights at Butternut Lake are in the 10's.
