If you need a site to stay Comfort Suites Grand Rapids North is a good choice, and since you're here, you could also stop by scenic Amazie Lake. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Whitefish Lake Golf Club, and you're sure to run into some friendly folks from Grand Rapids-Wyoming here. Cannonsburg is a very popular ski area in close proximity. There's so much to do here at Butternut Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Duke Creek

| | Recreation-camping is a tremendous place for that. Through the summer months highs here at Butternut Lake get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Butternut Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitefish Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and if you came to camp Lakeside Camp Park is a brilliant spot to do that. The yearly precipitation here at Butternut | |

Lake is about average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Butternut Lake. SpringHill Suites Grand Rapids North is a delightful site to get some rest.

Croton Dam Float Trips

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
