There's so much to do here at Butler Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kalkaska RV Park & Campground is a great place for that, and Butler Lake is a spot with many visitors from Cadillac. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Bass Lake right next door to Butler Lake is a great place to stop by; dry       warm beds await you at Legend Cottage Condos. Very delightful scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Shanty Creek; if you came to camp Manistee Station Cabin and Camping is a glorious place to do that. So many amusing things to do at Butler Lake, so little time. From a precipitation point of view Butler Lake is a rather normal place; through September this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. At Butler Lake during                  the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's.
