There's so much to       do here at Burrell Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Chapel Beach Campground is a glorious location for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Au Sable Point Campground is a good site to do that; there's splendid hiking along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail. The vistas at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore will blow your mind, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Burrell Lakes; Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail is a fine local                  trail. Burrell Lakes in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Good hiking is available along the Lakeshore Trail. A beautiful lake like Buck Lake close to Burrell Lakes is a perfect place to go to; it's a good idea to pop by East Branch Lowney Creek.
