A visit to Burley Lake is always a good idea. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 80's at Burley Lake; the overnight is a tad colder of course, mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Burley Lake dip into the 0's. | | than a day at, Newaygo State Park is a wonderful local campground, and a golf course close by is Pilgrim's Run Golf Club. Burley Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; during September this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Cannonsburg, and a good nearby hotel is Big Rapids Super 8 Motel. Campground is a great spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail in the neighborhood of Burley Lake called the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Country Inn & Suites
By Carlson, Big Rapids, Mi is a fine choice. Lots of folks from Big Rapids come to Burley Lake; do take a look at Henkel Lake, it's a beautiful lake.
