There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Ontonagon River - Middle Branch, and camping is available at Paulging Pond Campground and Picnic Area. Camping at Marion Lake Campground and Picnic Area is always a fine experience, and lakes are such calm spots, why not explore Hobo Lake. But wait, there's       more to do in close proximity to Bum Lake. Take a hike on the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail, and a short visit to Mex-i-min-e Falls is always worthwhile. At Bum Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Bum Lake sink into the 0's. The annual rainfall here at Bum Lake is about average;                  the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
