Bullhead Lake is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp is a splendid site to camp nearby, and the fine folks of Traverse City like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Shanty Creek; if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Boardman River. You could also check out Dollar Lake since you're here at Bullhead Lake; it's close
