Bub Lake is not the only spot close by, Bass Lake is a close by lake, and Bear Creek is near Bub Lake and is always a pleasure to go to. Summertime highs at Bub Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Bub Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.       This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Putman Lake Camping is a magnificent place to do that, and nearby you stumble on the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Camping at Whispering Oaks Campground and Cabins is always a perfect experience, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail. Bub Lake in fact is in the middle of a picturesque outdoors paradise. Dry warm beds await you                  at Knotty Pine Inn. If you need a spot to stay Bob's Villa MAR. Motel is a wonderful choice; going for a hike on the North Country National Scenic Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
