First visit was a pleasant one. Boat launch is real shallow, I have a Glastron SX 175 v hull and had difficulty getting boat to clear trailer without backing tow vehicle farther into lake than usual. From there, things just got better. The water is pleasantly clean, but very shallow on the north side. However, the channels connecting Bruin to the other lakes are great. We spent all day on the water. Blind lake is a beautiful little lake with several sand bars, a swimming platform and a couple of rope swings for the kids to get out of the boat and play on. Overall, we were very pleased with the fact that we chose Bruin rather that our normal haunt Portage.

Bruin Lake is a lake worth visiting. For the period of the warm months highs here at Bruin Lake get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Bruin Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Chelsea; Timber Trace Golf Club is a perfect golf course nearby. | | don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Huron River.
A common amount of precipitation falls here at Bruin Lake; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is February. This is such a fun lake. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mount Brighton; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Chelsea, Mi is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. that you could stop by, and from Bruin Lake you get a good vista of Prospect Hill.
This place is great, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do close to Bruin Lake. Camping at Timberland Campground is always a good experience; you're sure to stumble upon some great folks from Ann Arbor here. Camping is available at Hell Creek Ranch.
