     Cedar Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Caberfae Peaks. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Traverse City is a pleasant place to spend a night or two; Holiday Park Campgrounds-map is a tremendous local campground. The McKenzie Ski Trail offers hiking at its best, and a lake close by is Bumphrey Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Traverse City Koa is a  
   delightful place to camp.
The amount of precipitation that falls at Brewster Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is September; February is the month with the least moisture. If you need a spot to stay Fairfield Inn & Suites Traverse City is a wonderful choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Brewster Lake; Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail is a wonderful local trail. At Brewster Lake through the summertime highs
 
               are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's with temperatures at Brewster Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Here at Brewster Lake there are plenty of people from Traverse City, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Boardman River.
