If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites IRON MOUNTAIN is a pleasant choice, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Brule River. Summer at Bradford Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows all through the winter for Bradford Lake

nearby Norway Mountain, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Iron Mountain MI is a fine place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Bradford Lake you'll probably meet some folks from Iron Mountain, and a stunning
lake like Browning Lake is a magnificent place to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful.
Iron Mountain Campgrounds is a brilliant local campground, and do have a look at Dyer Lake, it's a beautiful lake. An average amount
of rainfall falls at Bradford Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is frequently the driest month.

I just took a 30 mile trip down this river with a group of 6 and three canoes. I thought it was great overall. There are a few shallow spots where we had to get out of the boat and pull it through the water but otherwise the depth is good. As far as the quote ''pretty good campgrounds'' go, these were not easily found but can be set up in the less dense forests alongside the water. The stretch over the hemlock rapids is a bit difficult on the lower hemlock but the upper is an exciting though slightly wet ride. The overall current throughout the river is not too fast so some paddling is needed. Thats about it, this is a great river. The scenery is beautiful, and if your staying overnight the stars are miraculous, so enjoy the view. If your in the trees alot watch out for ticks, (they found me well) but other than that, enjoy the ride.... |
