An average amount of rainfall falls at Boyce Lake; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A pretty lake like Ellsworth Lake in the neighborhood of Boyce Lake is a great place to visit, and if you came for an overnight stay       Waterloo Recreation Area is a fine location to camp. You absolutely must go for Boyce Lake. For you golfers we recommend nearby Waterloo Golf Course; Shanahan Hill is gorgeous and can be seen from here. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by Avery Lake near Boyce Lake, it's a striking lake, and Timberland Campground is a great local campground. Holiday Inn Express CHELSEA is a tremendous place to get some rest; there are some great whitewater spots on Red Cedar                  River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Boyce Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
