     Why not camp at Shady Acres Campground while you're here at Bourne Lake, and not far from Bourne Lake you'll stumble on Kirkland Lake which is a delightful lake. If you came for an overnight stay Sno-trac Camper Village is a pleasant site to camp; Treetops Resort is a wonderful location to get some rest. A day on the slopes of Treetops Sylvan is just what you need. For the duration of the long summer days here at Bourne Lake, high temperatures regularly reach  
   the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Bourne Lake.
A common amount of rainfall falls here at Bourne Lake; September is when you get the most rain here while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Spectacle Lakes is in the vicinity; Eagle Point is nearby and always great to check out.

...vides the ideal setting for fantastic Alpine and Nordic skiing. Twenty-three downhill runs wind their way through the majestic hardwood forest that covers the 400-acre winter park. Snowboarders are welcome at Treetops. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert. Treetops also offers extreme (snow) tubing. The tubing ride is available by 1.5 hour sessions for up to 30 people at a time. Advance reservations can be made for this exhilarating experience.
