You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Timber Ridge since you're here, and a pretty lake like Mud Lake is a good place to visit. An average amount of precipitation falls at Boot Lake; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you came for an overnight stay Parkside Park is a nice location to camp. Boot Lake is a location with many visitors from Allegan, and Mill Pond is a magnificent lake

This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Hidden Valley Golf Course is a golf course in close proximity to Boot Lake, and what would winter be without some skiing at Bittersweet. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Plainwell is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Engelwood Campground while you're here at Boot Lake. go whitewater paddling on Kalamazoo River, and if you need a location to stay Baymont Inn and Suites Grand Rapids SW/Byron Center is a delightful choice.
High temperatures at Boot Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. When
the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Boot Lake.

Bittersweet

Bittersweet has enormous snow-making capacity and is consistently the first to open in SW Michigan. Their vertical is only 350 ft, but that's about 100 more than any other resort in SW Michigan. As noted, their lift system is impressive, particularly the high speed detachable quad, but lines can get a little long on late December weekends. Their terrain park has a good variety of boxes, jumps, etc. Very friendly people....Yea you guys rock i love the snow...Ahh yes, Bittersweet Ski Area... Michigan skiing at it's very best. The drops in these part of the country are not that impressive but I think Bittersweet makes the most of it. I do recommend this ski area.... |

Fisk is a great lake to fish on. You must have a kayak or canoe to gain access through the channel that runs between Reeds and Fisk. Put your boat in on the West side of lakeside across from the dock at Reed's lake next to the municipal building. Have Fun... |

It is not very big, but all of the employees are cool and you never have to wait in line to get on the lift. They sometimes seem to overestimate the amount of snow that they have also. I sometimes wonder if they actually measure the snowpiles that have been plowed in the parking lot instead of what is actually on the hill.... |
