If you are traveling by, why not stop by Bolen Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Crystal Lake; Parks and Recreation Dept is a great local campground. Bolen Lake is right by the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail; Wierenga's Hess Lake Mobile Home is a fine campground nearby. The Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail offers hiking at its best; after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Coopersville is a glorious site to spend a night or two. Bolen Lake gets a

| | normal amount of rain; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month is February. During the summer highs here at Bolen Lake get into the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. look at close by Ryerson Lake, and hiking along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail is tremendous fun. Coonskin Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Briar Hill Golf Course is nearby.

Croton Dam Float Trips

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
We do offer a car spotting service to take your vehicles down river while you boat, canoe, or kayak the river. We also provide transportation services for individuals and their own equipment for a reasonable fee.
