Have a great hiking adventure along the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail, and some close by water includes Coonskin Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Coopersville. Lakes are brilliant; Ryerson Lake is a lake that's close to Bolen Lake. You simply must like Bolen Lake. Camping at Wierenga's Hess Lake Mobile Home is always a magnificent experience, and not far from Bolen Lake you'll find Crystal Lake which is a delightful lake. Bolen Lake is great enough

| | to spend more than a day at, Parks and Recreation Dept is a great local campground, and hiking along the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail is brilliant fun. Summertime highs at Bolen Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Bolen Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Course, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail. The yearly rain here at Bolen Lake is about average; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

Croton Dam Float Trips

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
