Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is one of the destinations in the neighborhood of Blue Lake that are tremendous to go to, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Au Train River. The warmest time of the year at Blue Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Blue Lake dipping down into the 0's during       winter nights. A lake close by is Skeels Pond. Why not camp at Hiawatha Resort and Campground since you're here at Blue Lake, and going for a hike on the Valley Spur Ski Trail is always a great adventure. So much amusing stuff near Blue Lake, truly phenomenal. If you came for an overnight stay Wide Water Campground is a good place to camp, and Blue Lake is not the only spot close by, Skeels Lake is a close by lake. From a rainfall point of view Blue Lake                  is a relatively typical place; the wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. The Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Blue Lake, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Munising is a fine choice.
